life is good

Hi my name is George Pavic,i was born in Revelstoke B.C, August 5 1963.When i was an infant my parents noticed i was short of breath after any activities.Of course they took me to the doctor,he told mom that she was overprotective. Not to worry he is fine ,but still i was always sickly.My sister was born in 1965,but now we lived in Oakville On.One day shortly after, she went to the family doctor with my sister,and i went along.The nice Jamacian nurse that worked there noticed me out of breath,came over to take a better look.She than checked my lips and fingernails ,showed my mom the bluenessThe next week i had an appiontment at Sick Kids.Doctor Fowler told my parents i was born a blue baby.and i will need corrective surgery.November 1969 i had a Blalock shunt,performed by Dr Mustard.But this was just a quick fix,i would still need open heart surgery.October 1972 i got my surgery done by dr Mustard at Sick Kids,but there was a problem.After the surgery i started to leak blood out of my heart. They rushed me in and opened me up and Dr Mustard fixed it.MY heart has two holes that are patched with Kevalar,and a cloth patch on my valve.One day i would need a new valve,mabey 10 or 12 years when i am older.Well i got lucky,it took 30 years until i needed surgery again.September 6 2002 i am working out in the backyard and i start to feel weird,so i go in and get my wife.When she sees me she grabs the phone and is crying.My skin is grey and my heart looks like it wants to get out of my chest.when the paramedics get there my heartrate is 240 beats per minute,oh ya.They cant do anything because i wont passout,they cant cardiovert me until i pass out.Well this goes on for a couple minutes,and then they transport me to the hospital,now its 270 .Iam still going when we get to the hospital,about 5 minutes later my heart stops and they cardiovert me.In the next 64 days i am in the hospital,i mean 3 different hospitals.I started out at Hamilton General,then MacMaster,then Toronto General.In early October they bring in Dr Eugene Downer an electrical specialist .Then they bring in the the KING Dr Bill Williams from Sick Kids across the street.October 30 i get my surgery and all is great.Dr Williams is the best and i know that he was the only guy  for the job.I have been fortunate to have the two greatest congenital doctors operate on me.These two guys Mustard and Williams enabled me to live a full life Thank you Dr Downer for the dirty sock prcedure you did HAHA.It worked great.
