Dr. Anusha Jegatheeswaran, MD

Dr. Anusha Jegatheeswaran is the 5th John W. Kirklin/David A. Ashburn Fellow in the CHSS Data Center, and began her tenure with us in July 2008. Anusha completed her Honours BSc. at the University of Toronto, with a specialist degree in Human Biology. She then earned her medical degree from McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) in 2005.

She is currently a 4th year resident in Cardiac Surgery at the University of Toronto and will be spending 2-3 years in the Data Center. Anusha has demonstrated a strong interest in congenital heart disease and cardiac surgery, and has been actively involved in several studies. She has also been the recipient of several awards for her research work. During her tenure at the CHSS, she is funded by a prestigious Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Junior Personnel Research Fellowship.
